AMBULATORY MONITORING

Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring enables the physician to assess efficacy of hypertensive treatment in patients. Additionally, patients with “white coat hypertension,” those who typically have well controlled blood pressure outside the office setting, can receive an accurate assessment of their blood pressure in a more relaxed environment. The blood pressure device is worn for 24 hours and the patient triggers the device to obtain blood pressure measurements hourly.
